Rietspruit Private Lodge is just over 2,5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg and is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Waterberg Mountains. The Waterberg mountain range is a “Malaria Free” area and is situated in the Limpopo province of South Africa and is part of the Waterberg Biosphere. The Waterberg Biosphere is a massif of approximately 15,000 square kilometres and is the first region in the northern part of South Africa to be named as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Rietspruit Lodge offers breathtaking views of the Waterberg and has the Rietspruit River running through it, with a well stocked Bass dam in the middle.

Rietspruit Private Lodge is run and managed by Professional Hunter Wiehan Buchholz. Wiehan hosts and runs hunting safaris using either Bow or Rifle Hunts on the Rietspruit premises or on one of the numerous concessions on the surrounding farms.

The Lodge offers a variety of accommodation from Single rooms to Family Suites, the Main Complex comprises a beautiful lush garden, swimming pool, separate guest TV lounge, thatched lapa with bush bar, dining area, DSTV and braai facilities.
At the end of a long day of hunting take a refreshing dip in the pool and later there is nothing more relaxing than sitting around the campfire listening to the musical sounds of the African bush and sipping on your favourite drink as you watch the flames in their rhythmic dance.
